The Accommodation
We have 2 properties available on the farm. A one bedroom cottage which sleeps up to three adults, and a large 6 bedroom house which sleeps up to 12 adults. See below for more details and pricing. The Farm
The properties benefits from being within the grounds of a 50 acre polyculture farm where you have access to our 2km ‘farm walk’. The walk takes you on a tour of the farm where you can enjoy the peaceful surroundings and beautiful views, as well as being able to see the animals (including cows, sheep, pigs and chickens). There are picnic benches, information boards, games, a woodland slackline, swings and an animal trail for the children to enjoy. We also have an outside play area for the children to enjoy.
Please note, due to the rotational system used by the farm, certain animals may not be within view every day. Access to the farm walk is only guaranteed to be available between 1st April and 1st November. If you are booking your stay outside of this time frame, please contact us to find out if access is possible.)
The Surrounding Area
We are located on the outskirts of the village, 800m away from the bakery. The village also has a post office and hairdressers. We are within the stunning Normandy Maine National Park, bordered by the forest, in an ideal location to access the GR22 (which passes directly through our village) and many other routes for walking, cycling and horse riding. We are on the border of Normandy and Mayenne, two areas of France with so much to offer. There are countless places to visit and things to do in the area including Chateaus, rivers and lakes, animal parks and zoos, horse riding, canoeing and kayaking, the famous horse displays at La Michaudière, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, horse racing and much more. La Ferte Mace is less than a 20 minutes drive away and has a beautiful swimming lake where you can go fishing, hire bicycles to cycle around the lake, go paddle boarding, hire pedalos and enjoy an ice cream or crepe by the lake. There is also a golf course and a horse riding centre next to the lake and many large supermarkets, shops and great restaurants. Bagnoles de L’Orne, the famous Spa town is just 25 minutes away and has spas, a golf course, fantastic restaurants and gorgeous boutique shops, a cinema and a casino on the beautiful lake. Saint-Céneri-le-Gérei, previously voted the prettiest village in France, is just 25 minutes away and we are also just one hour from Le Mans.
